Holiday Inn Express Rotterdam - Central Station, an IHG Hotel

This was our second stay at this hotel, so we do like staying here, just a short walk from the train station, plenty of food and dining options close to the hotel, breakfast is included which is always a good way to start the day.the only thing we did not like was that there was no fridge in the room, as we had bought some food stuffs on our travels, which we needed to keep cool. However the staff were most helpful and kept our 'stuff' in the fridge behind the bar

We booked the room with a kitchenette because we had kids under 3. Love the space and design! The room was spacious enough to fit a cot! It had a microwave and fridge, and a separate sink at the kitchen so that made our baby 6bottle washing so much easier and hygienic. Exceptionally clean hotel with trustable housekeeping (we dropped our passport and wallet under the bed by accident and it was nicely placed next to our bed when we returned in the late afternoon, nothing was amiss. lucky us.) Breakfast was basic but good, except i might have gotten a mild case of food poisoning from the cold section. They had 2 highchairs available too. Very kid friendly staffs. The lounge / dining area was accessible for meetups even at night, we had our family friends come to visit us and we chatted there for a good 2 hours with snacks from the selfservice convenience store.

It was our 1st anniversary as a couple and we wanted to do a special trip. So we come to Rotterdam. We had a great time. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just a few minutes to the Central Station, a few minutes to the Erasmus Bridge and a little bit of a walk to Rotterdam Ahoy to visit the Comic Con. The Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Everyone was so nice to us. Here you are warm welcome guest. The breakfast was nice. You got everything you wanted. It was not overcrowded and there was everything fresh. The room was on the first floor. With the view to the parking deck. That's the only "negative" point we have. But at the end, it wasn't noisy. The room was clean and comfortable. The bath was also very clean. So we are very happy for this hotel. The price is perfect. And once again: the Staff and the Crew are super friendly and very helpful. We will come again to our 5th anniversary.

ROOM: The room was okay, pretty comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was comfortable with enough space for our things. BED: The bed was okay. BREAKFAST: The breakfast was also okay, and we liked the option for a reservation - that way we avoided crowds in the hall. SURROUNDINGS: The location was convenient for us, since we were well connected to the centre and had an option to park our car. There were some good bars in the neighbourhood as well. COMMUNICATION: The check in and check out process were a bit slow, but still okay. The wi-fi was good.

It was located very close to the Rotterdam Central, so we just walked over from the station. The Wena tram station was also in front of the hotel, making it a convenient option to move around. The metro station was a short distance away at Stadhuys or rotterdam centraal. The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was modest but caries. The hotel had a card system where guests chose a time slot for breakfast, to reduce congestion. As such, there were no long queues or need to rush for tables.
